Keeper of the Sanctuary

About MaxWell

A guide, not a guru. Someone who builds soft rooms because they needed one first.

MaxWell Sanctuary began the way most tender things do — quietly, and out of necessity. What started as a handful of late-night practices written for one person became a library, then a circle, then a place other people started calling home.

Why this space exists

So much of the healing world asks you to arrive already regulated, already articulate, already ready. This Sanctuary was built for the other hours: the flat afternoons, the 3am ones, the days when the only honest practice is lying down and breathing.

How MaxWell holds the room

  • Consent first, always — nothing enters your body or your memory uninvited.
  • Plain language over mysticism, even when the imagery is cosmic.
  • No promises of transformation, cure, or timeline.
  • Referral over overreach — some care belongs with a licensed professional.

What MaxWell is not

MaxWell is not a therapist, doctor, or crisis counsellor, and the Sanctuary does not provide clinical care. The work here sits alongside professional support, never in place of it.

Want to know more before you step in? Write to the Sanctuary — questions about safety, accessibility, or fit are always welcome and never rushed.
